What is a therapeutic ultrasound?

Though the word ultrasound is familiar for various imaging purpose, it is used in health diagnosis; it is also now widely used for therapeutic physiotherapy. Therapeutic ultrasound is a treatment tool used by physical and occupational therapists. Therapeutic ultrasound is often used for treating chronic pain and for tissue healing. It is used in treating carpal tunnel syndrome, shoulder pain, including frozen shoulder, tendonitis, ligament injuries and joint tightness. The ultrasound is used in two different ways.

Our therapy

Our ultrasound therapies find use in treating a large number of cases that seek our services. We usually use two methods of ultrasound, namely the deep heating ultrasound and the cavitation or rapid contraction and expansion of microscopic gas bubbles around the affected area. Our experts adjust the depth of penetration of the ultrasound depending on the requirements. We use therapeutic ultrasound as a part of our holistic treatment, including exercise, stretching and other specific activities.
