What is infrared?

Interferential therapy is the application of a low-frequency electrical current to nerve points and stimulating them or increasing their activity. The result of applying IFT is that you get immediate relief from pain and the blood flow to the affected area is increased, which allows for tissue repair and recovery.

Our therapy

We have adapted IFT to suit our treatment protocols while ensuring that our patients draw maximum benefit from it. Our expert therapists will apply round suction cup electrodes or flat pads to the patient's skin over the area to be treated. The patient will feel a tingling sensation in the muscles as the electric signals stimulate the nerves. We make sure that the sensations vary, which means we use our experience and knowledge to administer the proper range of electrical stimulation without causing discomfort to our patients.

Interferential therapy is used for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions where it helps to eliminate pain safely, decrease swelling and inflammation, restore lost movement, improve muscular coordination, stimulate hormones for the body to heal faster and manage chronic pain and delivers long-standing results.
